Best players of New Zealand NBL round 2

Australian Harrison Froling (210-C-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for Taranaki Airs and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 26-year old center had a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Saints (1-1) 115-110. Thanks to this victory Airs moved-up to the 7th position in New Zealand NBL. Airs is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Froling had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Airs and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Marquette University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Froling is in league's top in points (4th best: 28.5ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.5rpg) and averages solid 63.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Nick Muszynski (211-C-1998) of Wellington Saints. Muszynski impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Saints lost that game 110-115 to Airs (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Muszynski is one of the most experienced players at Saints and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Jose Perez (196-F-1998) of Otago Nuggets (#12). Perez scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Perez's great performance the Nuggets lost 82-97 to Whai (#3, 2-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Nuggets can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Perez has individually a great season in New Zealand. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.5rpg (8th best).

9. Dontae Russo-Nance (190-G-2005) of Jets - 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Nick Marshall (198-F/G-1999) of Saints - 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
